Meet Annie (she/her/hers)
Hi! I'm Annie. I am a fat-positive, Health at Every Size (HAES)® aligned Registered Dietitian, although I prefer the title Nutrition Therapist as I think it's much more apt for the kind of work I do.
I came to this work through my own recovery from an eating disorder. I see and understand from my own lived experience how anti-fat bias and weight stigma harm all of us — how it disconnects us from our bodies and keeps us in our heads, worrying about food and our bodies often at the expense of our mental, emotional and physical health. It is the honor of my life to partner with my clients to help them leverage their own internal wisdom and lived experience to reach their health goals.
I hold multiple privileged identities, including being white, cisgender, heterosexual, and currently able-bodied. I am committed to continuously learning and unlearning how these identities impact others and what I can do to reduce harm. I also hold size privilege as a “small fat,” meaning I experience some weight stigma but can shop at plus-size stores and navigate the world with fewer size-related restrictions. You can learn more about the size spectrum here.

More About Me
I grew up and spent most of my life in New York City. When I moved to the Berkshires I got really into gardening. I started with primarily vegetables but have gotten more and more into flowers each year. My favorite vegetable to grow is tomatoes, I usually grow 10-15 varieties each year. This photo is from my garden one summer in late August/early September when the trellises are fully covered and the garden is really at its peak!
Because I am passionate about everything size inclusivity and body liberation, I am also the Size Inclusive Care Coordinator at CHP Berkshires, a federally qualified health center here in the Berkshires as well as the Chapter Organizer for the Berkshires Chapter of Body Liberation Hiking Club!
